GRAPEVINE

Area Assembly October 24, 2010

Hello, my name is Ruth and I am an alcoholic.  My home group is the Agincourt Acorn group, and I am currently  serving as your Area 83 Grapevine Chairperson.

Grapevine is a very busy and interesting place...

The posting for Executive Editor/Publisher of AA Grapevine was extended.

A CD entitled Home Group, Heartbeat of AA, volume 1 and 2, was released. These CD’s contain member’s       experiences with their home group.  They would be a valuable addition to your driving, or home listening library.  They would make a great gift for any newcomer, sponsee, sponsor (Christmas is just around the corner).

The September Grapevine magazine is entitled Acceptance, and outlines members’ roads to acceptance with their various illnesses, situations, and special needs. I have read my copy a couple times through already. As we discussed   in the Grapevine workshop in March, why not consider submitting an article, humour, or some artwork to the            magazine?

Thank you to everyone who has already filled out a Grapevine survey form, and thank you in advance to those of you who have yet to fill yours out. The form can be found on the Area 83 website in two formats. I will accept surveys until the end of the Assembly in October, at which time I will tally and submit our Areas findings.  Feel free to fill the surveys out online, or print and distribute them within your group or district. Here is your chance to make your thoughts, encouragements, complaints, and questions known. I hope you all will take advantage of this invitation to make our voices heard.

I am collecting 2011 Pocket Planner and Calendar orders today.  I will be placing the order this week, and  I will have your orders ready to be picked up at the Assembly in October.  I want to thank you for your participation. Ordering   Grapevine books and materials is a practical, relevant and useful step toward AA being self supporting.

Thank you for the opportunity to be of service!  It enriches my life and program in ways I could never have imagined.
