Warm greetings – we hope that this letter finds you well. We are writing today to inform you of necessary upcoming price increases affecting some of our pamphlets in English, Spanish, and French along with our Pamphlet Display Racks and Extensions.
New list prices will go into effect on May 1, 2024.
We take exercising fiscal prudence very seriously, as we work to carry the message via our literature. As we have been reporting to the Fellowship, Alcoholics Anonymous is not immune from the changes that are impacting all businesses, and one of the greatest to us has been a notable drop in the margins associated with the sale of our literature. In efforts to best serve the Fellowship and demonstrate the utmost of fiduciary responsibility, we cannot continue selling items of literature below cost. Therefore, the adjusted list prices have been calculated to the current actual break-even levels plus 10%, taking into account all three languages and current print runs.
We continue to monitor and trim expenses where possible, being mindful of the immense significance of each “nickel in the basket” sent to the General Service Board.
The new pricelist, which can be found here will be reflected on the online store when the increase takes effect. The new list prices also will be reflected in our new digital and print versions of the literature catalog, coming soon.
As always, we encourage ordering the Big Book and all our items of literature from local groups, districts, areas, Intergroups and Central Offices, as they play a vital role in local Twelfth Step activities.
